Covid-19 Update

As of September 14, 2020

Montreal preschool, elementary (Grade 1-6) and secondary grade 7-9

  • 100% of students returning to class
  • Standard number of students per group
  • Closed groups of students who stay in their classroom, teachers move between rooms to teach various subjects
  • Mask mandatory at all common areas; hallways, washrooms, etc
  • Mask mandatory when seated in the classroom at some schools

Montreal Secondary Grade 10-11

Option 1: If it is possible to maintain closed groups of students who stay in their respective classrooms (physical conditions allowing social distancing):

  • 100% of students returning to class
  • Standard number of students per group
  • Closed groups of students who stay in their classroom, teachers move between rooms to teach various subjects
  • Mask mandatory at all common areas; hallways, washrooms, etc
  • Mask mandatory when seated in the classroom at some schools

Option 2: If it is not possible to maintain closed groups of students who stay in their respective classrooms (physical conditions do not allow social distancing):

  • Students present at school as often as possible, but no less than 50% of the regularly scheduled time (i.e. 3 days at school, 2 days online from home)
  • Compliance with the current physical distancing guidelines
  • Use of online learning resources, homework and pedagogical activities outside the regular classroom

Toronto Primary and Secondary schools

  • Schools are open, the education is mostly hybrid: few days a week in school, other days online from home

Universities

  • Currently the education at Colleges and Universities is mostly online, from distance
